Welcome my blog. The intention is to publish every piece of writing that I have churned out for the past 10 years. Some pieces have a story behind the story, some lyrical poems have become songs. We have hundreds of poems, stories, songs, lyrics, and life musings. Subscribe and every Monday receive a story to start off your week. Art is created by Amina & AI.

Just Like Perfume

He discovered

That like perfume dabbed behind

The ears

And on the wrists

There is  dab a little larceny

In most people

When push comes to shove

Claws that  are nearly always concealed

Inside soft furry paws

Appear like Switchblade ,

Ripping into flesh and bone.

Keep this information hidden,

There are wolves about

Fortunately for you the era

of being  “Tarred and Feathered” has passed.

Being “Drawn and Quartered” has  also fallen out of favour.

Knowing your grisly past and sadistic leanings

it is not hard to imagine the appeal  these rather gruesome,

unapologetic forms of justice once had.

While we can sometimes haltingly venture

furtive ideas as to the reasons why marriage works,

the reasons it doesn’t work routinely

present themselves  as inscrutable and inescapably

embedded in some primitive genetic hunter gatherer,

kill and eat diaspora  of human nature.
