When the kindest gesture one can show to another human being is to kill them as painlessly and quickly as possible, it is is indeed fair to say that the use of the word
“humanity”, in reference to ourselves is a misnomer.
It suggests we are something considerably less than human , and that the designation "humanity “ is a rather more aspirational than experiential.
