It is hard being alone and not being alone.
He sat inside his pain looking out
Like a caged animal locked inside itself.
He decided it was something he not live without
It was like an old friend you just learn to live with.
He doesn’t take off his shoes when he comes into
Your house and drinks all the orange juice without
Using a glass.
Its the kind of alone you get used to
Its a country you call home
Its a place in your soul can but won’t leave.
It is hard being alone and not being alone
There is a fine line that looks like a wall sometimes
He couldn’t breathe and laugh at the same time
And the day would come that he would have to choose
He knew the day would come when he would find coherence.
