Idea is a wild horse

An Idea is a wild horse.
It is both powerful and fragile.
It is beautiful and its smooth
muscles ripple like silk satin in the sun.
It does not like to be corralled.
It wants to run free.
You mount it gently.
You whisper to it hoping to calm
its wild heart.
You need it more than it needs you.
So you press your bare heels into its flanks
You yield your body up to its power.
It seethes with anger at first.
There is no bridle.
There is no bit in in its mouth.
There are no stirrups.
You hold on to its long mane.
Only your thighs are spread eagle
across its muscular back.
You are at its mercy.
With patience however you merge with it.
The remarkable creature is in no way diminished.
You protect its beauty and strength.
You hold on with all your might,
with your soul, and with your heart.
You can feel its spirit pressed against yours.
All you ever wanted was to be part of its beauty.
You never wanted to own it.
