Leaving Love

It is our task to leave love, like a three year old child running ahead of a watchful

Mother. The child turns, gleefully laughing to see if mother is chasing her.

The child is precocious

And filled with clumsy confidence.

Mother watches closely but gives the child a few moments to roam and to feel free.

Shortly thereafter the mother scoops up the child and showers her with kisses and warm hugs.

The adventure may lead to a scraped knee, but a mother’s kiss cures

The little bruise. There was never any real danger.
