In Times Like This

In times like  this

with the extolling of the

vulgar and imbecilic

when dull headedness

and crippling pedagogy

become du rigueur

you will find him hold

up in his heart, windows drawn,

doors locked, lights dimmed,

embracing  a threadbare solitude

A lover that is all together too familiar.
